THAT'S US!

A page like this seemed to come in real handy, and provide loads of entertainment, not only for far away family members, but Carl's charters always got a kick out of some of the "family" stuff I ended up sharing. Like what? Well, just check out our pregnancy experience with Savanna Cay, who will be 2 on November 30, 2008.

AND GUESS WHAT?
We're at it again! Yes, that is right. Baby #2 is due February 2009 (already deemed Baby Jack after my father by my sister!)

Check back as often as you'd like for updates...when ever I need to vent. Continue reading to bring yourself up to speed.

22 weeks

We had a sonogram today to check measurements of baby and all is on track. My weight gain is a little higher than my pregnancy with Savanna....but what am I gonna do? I got started off on the wrong foot being inTexas for an entire month and eating Mexican food EVERY DAY!

The image to the right is THUMBS UP from the womb, so that is a good sign! Below, you can see the profile of baby's head. He/She was facing down towards my back, so we could not get a face shot. And just like its big sister, when the doctor got the femur shot, we could not even tell boy or girl...and he would not hover long enough for me to keep guessing. Oh well...guess we'll find out in February!

Thumbs up!

ya, so what? where's my pumpkin?

The picture above is of Savanna checking out the sonogram picture. She cared more about the "big pumpkin" I brought home than the image of the baby, Oh well.

Almost a month has gone by since the last update...and we survived our first hurricane. In fact, Savanna slept right though it! Thankfully, house, home, health, boat & business are all fine. St. Croix is getting back to business and getting ready for our busy season.

We spent the entire day after Omar cleaning up the yard. The pic to the right is Savanna "helping" with come work gloves. She just kept saying "tree fall down, Mama, tree fall down."

Carl's charter schedule is filling up nicely. We are BOTH ready for him to get back to work and start fishing again. We are also looking forward to MeeCee's visit this week! YEAH!

Until next time...

SO WHAT DO WE KNOW?
Let's bring everyone up to speed. This friday, October 3, I will be 5 mos. Yes, I know, getting started a little late, but we have had a busy summer; and you know how the second kid is....its old hat! HA! Just like with Savanna, we are NOT finding out the sex until sometime in February when the little booger decides to make his (or her) appearance. Lets just PRAY Carl won't be on the water!

Baby's "official" due date has been set at February 20; but we expect/hope it will arrive early, just like its big sister, Savanna (which already breaks the first cardinal rule of being Crucian; they have a reputation for being late to EVERYTHING!)

I have decided to put my job on hold at the end of December to "stay at home" with the kids. At this point in our lives, I feel it is the perfect opportunity, and will never be able to get it back! Just like taking the plunge and moving to St. Croix, this too, was a scary move for me, because I enjoy my job producing GoToStCroix.com so much. I have been dedicated to the site for five years, which is an eternity on this island! I know there will always be something for me at Media Mate...and my babies are only my babies once!

Oscar, Savanna & George: Buddies! The Fam is moving nests as well. And get this: we are moving BACK into a house we used to live in. Why? Well, it is a bit bigger, has a terrific yard and is just the perfect set up for 2 kids (who can even share a room!) How do I know this? Well, one of my very dearest friends and her family has lived there for 2 years or so....and they leave tomorrow to live in Texas. Yep. Bastrop to be exact. And that is the ONLY reason I don't want to move into this house; because it means they are leaving. And we LOVE them.

For those who care, I'll keep you posted on THAT transition. A bit of remodeling, painting, cleaning, nesting needs to be done, but thankfully my hardworking, super organized, no-fear of power tools mother-in-law has agreed to come down at the end of October to help get us set up. What about Carl? His butt should be on the water everyday!!

And what exactly do we need for our second baby? I can think of three things right away, well, four, including diapers:

Phil & Ted's E3 Double In-Line Stroller.
1. Phil & Ted's E3 Double In-Line Stroller. Perfect for our non-sidewalk having island
White onesies
2. White onesies; various sizes and probably a few long sleeve for those "chilly" mornings.
Playtex Double Breast Pump to take the "edge" off.
3. Playtex Double Breast Pump to take the "edge" off.

Originally, I only needed the first two items; then my friend Sylvia, who leant me her Playtex breast pump when Savanna was born, informed me she will be needing it back...she is due in March!

So, that is what we know so far. Maybe you check in often, maybe its too much for you. Either way, it is an outlet for me!
